Who we are
Aquilon Academy is run by Aquilon Tech Ltd, registered in England and Wales, based in Birmingham. Where these terms say we or us, that is the company.
Contact for anything to do with these terms: hello@aquilontech.com.
What you are buying
A paid course is a single purchase, not a subscription. It gives you that course's lessons, its assignments with written review from the team, and the working documents that come with it, for as long as the Academy runs the course.
Free courses are the whole course. There is no trial period and no card required to take one, and the first lessons open without an account.
Course content is updated over time. Buying a course includes the updates we make to it afterwards. If we ever retire a course, we will tell purchasers first and give reasonable notice to download the working documents.
Price and payment
The price is the one on the course page when you buy, in pounds sterling. If VAT applies, checkout shows it before you pay.
Payment is taken by Stripe on its own checkout page. We never see your card details.
The course opens on your account as soon as the payment goes through. If you pay by a method that takes time to clear, it opens when the payment clears.
Your account
An account is for one person. Progress, assignments and feedback are personal to you.
If you want several people in your firm to take a course, buy a place for each of them. We would rather talk about a sensible arrangement than police it, so ask.
Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
You can download what we hold, or delete the account, from the Your data page under Account. Deleting it ends access to any course you bought, without a refund, so ask us for a refund first if you want one.
Assignments and feedback
We read every assignment submitted and reply in writing. We aim to respond within five working days, and we will say so if we are running behind.
Feedback is our opinion based on what you send us. It is not professional advice, and it is not a substitute for your own judgement about your business.
Files you upload can be up to 4 MB each. Only you and the Aquilon team can open them.
Send only what you are entitled to share. Take out customer names, prices or anything else you would not want an outside adviser to read, unless the assignment needs it and you are allowed to pass it on.
What you submit stays yours. We do not publish it, share it with other learners, or use it in marketing without asking you first. We keep it with your account, and it goes when the account does.
What you may and may not do with the material
Working documents are yours to use inside your own business, adapt, and keep after the course. Use them on real jobs, put them in front of your team, take them to a supplier.
What is not allowed is reselling the material, publishing it, or running it as training for people outside your own firm.
Lessons are for you to watch and read, not to redistribute.
What we do not promise
We do not promise a business outcome. The courses describe what we do on client work and what we have seen go right and wrong. What happens in your firm depends on your firm.
We do not promise that any particular software, supplier or approach mentioned will suit you. Where a course tells you to check something yourself, that is deliberate.
Availability
We aim to keep the Academy available and will give notice of planned maintenance where we can. Occasional interruptions happen and are not a breach of these terms.
If a course becomes unavailable for a long period, contact us and we will sort something out.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. If a change materially affects a course you have already bought, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
The version on this page at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to that purchase. Refunds are covered by the refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer, if you are buying as one.
